ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Important Information

This program includes coaching sessions for the time shown above on the day(s) chosen. Mountain access in the form of a lift ticket or season pass is required, but not included. Ski equipment (skis, boots, poles, etc) is required, but not included.

Please Note: We recommend purchasing a season pass with your lesson as season pass inventory is limited and the earlier you buy, the lower the price. You may choose a pass to add to your cart after selecting a multi-week lesson program in our online store.

Our goal is to maximize the student's time while focusing on safety, fun, and learning. A typical lesson will follow the outline below:

  • The first 15 minutes of the lessons is used for welcoming students, discussing goals, checking equipment, and warmup activities.
    • Lessons will depart the meeting area approximately 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If a student is late, we will make a reasonable effort to connect them with their group, but this is not always possible.
  • For the majority of the lesson time, students will be actively engaged in skiing or snowboarding - building the skills to slide on snow. However, instructors may incorporate breaks as needed based on age, ability, weather, and other factors.
    • Breaks may be indoors or outdoors depending on the circumstance.
  • Instructors aim to return to the meeting area 10 minutes before the lesson's scheduled end time. This allows instructors to recap the day’s activities, answer questions, and transition the students back to parents or guardians.
    • We encourage you to be present during this time.
  • To ensure a smooth pickup, parents or guardians should plan to arrive at the meeting area before the scheduled lesson end time.
  • Age category is based on the student's age as of November 1, 2026.
  • Prices and availability vary and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include sales tax or transaction fees.
  • Lessons are non-transferrable and can only be used by the guest assigned at checkout.
  • Mountain or lift access and rental equipment are not included and must be purchased separately.
  • A signed liability release is required. Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian signature on the release.
  • Student assessments and demonstrated independence are required.
  • Group sizes and coach
  • Students may ride the chairlift with other students, with members of the public, with instructors, or alone.

We reserve the right to refund at our discretion. Refunds may be made up to the full amount you paid for your lesson program, minus any fees or charges, to your credit card, as a credit towards a future product or service, or in the form of a resort credit at our discretion. The option to submit a refund request is only available for participants who have not taken any part of their Seasonal Lesson Program.

Conditions apply for incidents such as major physical impairment. Please contact us and be prepared to send us a note from your doctor. Any refund will be pro-rated.

Refund Requests Due To Relocation

Conditions apply for situations involving relocation. Please contact us and be prepared to show documentation of your relocation (ie. Lease, Job Offer, Utilities Bill in your name, etc). Any refund will be pro-rated.

No Refunds For Absence

We do not offer make-ups, refunds, or credits for participants who miss all, or part of a program. Absence means forfeiting that program day and may mean moving to a different group. If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.

Postponements & Make-up Days

In cases of severe weather, we may need to postpone lessons. When this happens we will make every attempt to offer a make-up session at some point during the program, or following the last scheduled day of the program.

Postponements and make-up day details will be sent to the purchaser's email address. If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.

In the event the ski area is closed due to natural disasters, terrorism, war, disease outbreaks, extended road closures, power outages, or severe weather causing part or entire lift and slope closures, the Summit Snowsports School will make up for the lost time at our discretion; including, but not limited to adding more time during the remaining sessions, adding additional sessions, adding a make-up day, or forfeiting the session entirely.

In the event we need to postpone we treat the entire program as a whole unit. We do not customize make-up lesson plans for every individual.

Weather & Road Disruptions

We do not give partial credits and/or refunds for programs, or portions of programs, that we are unable to deliver due to weather, road closures, power outages, or acts of nature causing closure of lifts or the resort.

If Interstate 90 and The Summit at Snoqualmie are open, your lesson will go on. This is a mountain environment with varying weather and road conditions. We operate even when traction tires, chains, and/or all-wheel drive is required. Please plan accordingly by downloading the WSDOT's mobile app, checking their website, or checking our website which has links for roads, weather, and cameras.

You are making an investment in your snow sports education and training; the weather is an important factor in this investment. Weather can be unpredictable and uncontrollable. We will make every attempt to maximize our ability to provide you with the snow sports education that you expect; however, The Summit Snowsports School cannot be held liable for acts of nature beyond our control.

A participant may submit a change request to switch programs, start times, or days provided there is room in the program into which they would like to move. A $50 administrative fee applies for each program change. Change requests made after December 15, 2026, will incur an additional $50 rush processing fee. Changes are NOT permitted after the MWL program start date.

Note: We do not allow the transfer of program purchases to another individual.
