Unfortunately, we do not have enough snow to open yet. Anyone who purchased single-day tickets, lessons, or rentals for December 13-21 will automatically receive a credit. We plan to open as soon as we have enough snow, and the forecast is calling for a return to cooler temperatures and snowfall later this week. Stay tuned for updates!

Sundown Showdown

Rail Jam Competition

Join Summit Parks for the third annual Sundown Showdown! This event is for both skiers & snowboarders looking for a little friendly competition. Multiple divisions with  jam-session qualifiers, followed by finals for highest scoring competitors.

Important Information

  • Helmets required.
  • Attendance at the riders meeting is mandatory.
  • All riders must take at least one lap through the event venue during the practice window.
  • Riders are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all time while in the event venue. Refusal to comply with any of the rules of the competition is grounds for disqualification at the event organizers discretion.

When registering, competitors should self-select into one of the following divisions:

  • Amateur Women's Ski
  • Amateur Women's Snowboard
  • Amateur Men's Ski
  • Amateur Men's Snowboards
  • Pro Women's Skl
  • Pro Women's Snowboard
  • Pro Men's Ski
  • Pro Men's Snowboard

Winners of the Amateur divisions will be invited to also compete in the Pro category.

Skiers and riders of any age are encouraged to compete, however, please note that this event is intended for experienced skiers and snowboarders. Features are likely to be medium to large in size.

Awards ceremony to be held at the conclusion of the event.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors in each division. Additionally, the top competitors from each Amateur division will have the opportunity to also participate in the Pro session.

The event venue is hike-able from the base of Summit West. Competitors will have the option to purchase a discounted lift ticket at time of registration.
