Santa Skis Free!
Santa Claus is coming to town... help us fill the slopes with Santas! This is a special day, as Santa and all his jolly helpers are invited to take a break from the North Pole to enjoy a day on the hill before delivering fresh pow, new gear, and all the mountain goodies!
How it Works
The first 50 Santas to arrive can redeem a complimentary lift ticket. After that, Santas receive half off lift tickets. Free and discounted tickets are only available at Summit West Guest Services between 8:00am and 11:00am.
Event participants must be dressed in full Santa attire, including:
- Beard (for Santa) or white wig (for Mrs Claus)
- Red Santa hat
- Red jacket with white trim
- Red pants or red skirt
- Black belt
Head to Guest Services to show off your outfit and redeem your complimentary lift ticket. Season passholders are of course welcome to join in on the fun - no check-in at Guest Services is needed.
Santas should gather at the base of Pacific Crest chairlift at 11:15AM to load the lift. At the top of the chair, we'll do a group photo. Then spend the rest of the day skiing and riding!
Spectators should get to Pacific Crest by 11:10am to get a good view of the Santas.
Santa's Friends Special
Dress up as another holiday character to receive 50% off a lift ticket! Santa's friends and helpers can redeem their discounted ticket at the Summit West ticket window between 8:00AM and 11:00AM.

- Elves
- Reindeer
- Snowmen
- Christmas Trees
- Yetis
- The Grinch
- Hanukkah Harry or other Hanukkah themed characters
All decisions about what constitutes a holiday costume are at the discretion of Guest Services staff.
