Alpental’s legacy is as deep as its legendary powder. From humble beginnings to becoming a Pacific Northwest icon, every run holds a story. Its terrain is both diverse and thrilling, home to some of the steepest and deepest lines in the region. A ride up the famed Edelweiss chair - fondly known as Chair 2 - reveals just how special this mountain truly is. This season, we bid farewell to the iconic two-seater Riblet, marking the end of an era. And what better way to celebrate its legacy than with a weekend long festival honoring the memories and moments that made Chair 2 unforgettable?
Friday 4/11
Come dressed to impress... whatever that means to you! Kick off the weekend's festivities with laps, live music, and more. Nominate someone who embodies the true spirit of Alpental to be crowned King or Queen of the Back Bowls Ball - voting opens at 4:00pm and closes at 7:30pm, with the winners announced at 8:00pm.
This is your chance to own a piece of Alpental history... blind auction of three chairs between 4:00pm and 6:45pm. Winners announced at 7:00pm - must be present to win! More details and info can be found on the event page for the Back Bowls Ball.
Panda Conspiracy is back at the Denny Lodge with their unique blend of riff rock and big band dub. This is a show you don't want to miss!
Saturday 4/12
Skiing in jeans? It's the thing to do. Prizes awarded for the best three outfits at 3:00pm.
Pop by the base area to purchase raffle tickets ($5 each) - the Alpental Volunteer Ski patrol is raffling off one iconic riblet double from Chair 2! Look for their crew out on the plaza selling raffle tickets. Tickets will be sold until 3:30pm, winner announced at 4:00pm. Must be present to win.
Brought to you by Best Day Brewing! Using NA beer, teams of two will compete by sliding a stein of beer across a table, catching it before it flies off and chugging the beer. Extra points for tricks, spins, and other added flair. Sign up at the beer garden and be ready to compete at 1:00pm!
Your favorite local band, The Passholes, are back for a final time this season, closing things out with a rockin' show. Be ready to hit the dance floor!

DJ Niky Champion, aka Tootsie, will be on site to spin tunes and get you groovin'. Don't miss the dance party on the Denny plaza!
Close out the weekend with a final hurrah - more live music out on the plaza in front of the Denny Lodge, this time with local band Cock Fight!
