No Refunds For Absence

We do not offer make-ups, refunds, or credits for participants who miss all, or part of a program. Absence means forfeiting that program day and may mean moving to a different group. If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.

Postponements & Make-up Days

In cases of severe weather, we may need to postpone lessons. When this happens we will make every attempt to offer a make-up session at some point during the program, or following the last scheduled day of the program. We plan to ride in all conditions as long as it is deemed safe by our patrol and operations teams.

Postponements and make-up day details will be sent to the purchaser's email address. If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.

In the event the ski area is closed due to natural disasters, terrorism, war, disease outbreaks, extended road closures, power outages, or severe weather causing part or entire lift and slope closures, the Summit Snowsports School will make up for the lost time at our discretion; including, but not limited to adding more time during the remaining sessions, adding additional sessions, adding a make-up day, or forfeiting the session entirely.

In the event we need to postpone we treat the entire program as a whole unit. We do not customize make-up lesson plans for every individual.

Weather & Road Disruptions

We do not give partial credits and/or refunds for programs, or portions of programs, that we are unable to deliver due to weather, road closures, power outages, or acts of nature causing closure of lifts or the resort.

If Interstate 90 and The Summit at Snoqualmie are open, your lesson will go on. This is a mountain environment with varying weather and road conditions. We operate even when traction tires, chains, and/or all-wheel drive is required. Please plan accordingly by downloading the WSDOT's mobile app, checking their website, or checking our website which has links for roads, weather, and cameras.

You are making an investment in your snow sports education and training; the weather is an important factor in this investment. Weather can be unpredictable and uncontrollable. We will make every attempt to maximize our ability to provide you with the snow sports education that you expect; however, The Summit Snowsports School cannot be held liable for acts of nature beyond our control.

A participant may submit a change request to switch programs, start times, or days provided there is room in the program into which they would like to move. A $50 administrative fee applies for each program change. Change requests made after December 15, 2026, will incur an additional $50 rush processing fee. Changes are NOT permitted after the MWL program start date.

Note: We do not allow the transfer of program purchases to another individual.
