The first event of the season, Rome's Parknado went off Saturday December 7th and despite frigid temps and interesting snow pack, 80+ of Washington's finest rail riders came out to officially start the season at The Summit. A variety of features from downbars to flat rails, c-rails, and closeouts were set up to test rider skill and creativity. Even though this was the first contest of the year, riders came out the gates swinging and took no time at all to dive into some technical tricks including a front 180 switch nose press on the down bar, and a cab 270 on the donk rail. After the first part of the jam, the grill fired up and Rome Northwest provided some delicious hot dogs before the finals began. In the finals, eight riders went head to head in a battle royal, but in the end Mitch walked away with first place and a brand new Rome setup!
