Alpental Back Bowls

Accessed via two gates, an expert adventurers off-piste playground, the Alpental Back Bowls feature legendary terrain. The Alpental Back Bowls and Backcountry can be the highlight of your day, but it can quickly become a just the opposite. Preparing yourself for skiing or snowboarding in this wild terrain is essential to your safety, and the safety of others.

Mountain Safety & Education

The David Pettigrew Memorial Foundation operates out of the mid-mountain David Pettigrew Mountain Safety & Education building, conducting general mountain safety classes, companion rescue classes, and avalanche awareness classes. Hit the link to register for a workshop.

B.A.R.K. Beacon Basin

EZ-2-Learn

If you’re looking for an introduction to snow sports, look no further than the EZ 2 Learn program. EZ 2 Learn is our most affordable and flexible way to learn to ski or snowboard. Summit Parks

Known as one of the best Terrain Parks in the Northwest, Central Park offers small to large jumps and utilizes a fleet of over 70 features. Greenhorn Acres offers up small features and jumps for skiers and riders that are new to freestyle terrain.

Tubing Center

Located at the base of Summit Central, The Summit Tubing Center is perfect for anyone looking to play in the snow! Tubing requires no skill, no practice, just grab a tube and speed down the run!

Nordic Center

Summit East is home to the Summit Nordic Center. Based out of the Milwaukee Lodge, the Nordic Center offers snowshoe and cross country rental equipment, lessons, and tours for all ages and ability levels. Come up for a tour around our trails and take in the beautiful mountain scenery while burning some calories.

Snowshoe Rentals

Summit East is the perfect starting point for a day hike in a winter wonderland. We have a large fleet of snowshoes available on weekends and holidays, just stop in to the Milwaukee Lodge and we'll get you fitted to take on a little adventure.

Multi-Week Nordic Lessons

Learn to Cross Country ski! From skate to classic, intro courses to junior nordic race programs, The Summit Nordic Center offers lessons, lesson packages and consecutive week lesson packages to suit all ages and ability levels.

Daily Nordic Lessons

From our New to Nordic introduction program to Private Lessons, we have multiple daily lesson options to suit the needs of all ages and ability levels. Most daily lessons are available Friday through Sunday during regular operating hours, check each lesson for complete details.

Nordic & Snowshoe Rentals

Located in the Milwaukee Lodge at Summit East, the Nordic Center rents skis, boots, poles and snowshoes. We can get you out on the trails quickly and with solid equipment. The Summit Nordic Center takes pride in making it easy for our guests to get out and breathe! Taking a hike or a skate is one of the best ways to experience the Cascades.
