Alpental Freeride Program

Skiers and snowboarders are eligible for the this new program which will focus on skill, expression, use of terrain and challenging riders to push individual limits. It’s all about becoming the rider you dream to become. Taking airs, learning tricks, powering through snow in all conditions and terrain types, learning to assess situations and make smart choices, and developing the confidence to have fun with all that the mountains have to offer!

The Freeride Program is for young riders:
• 7-18
• Who ski or snowboard with a high level of skill and focus.
• Who want to push their individual limits
• Who have strong ability in challenging and varying conditions
• Who are comfortable with all the chairs at The Summit & Alpental and are comfortable on the steep runs.

The Alpental Freeride Program is coached by the best local grown athletes. They are all highly involved with the freeride scene and are not only extremely talented riders, but also great coaches. Look to them not just for knowledge and experience, but also for inspiration. Wayne Grevey from Northwest Freeride will be heading up Alpental Freeride and will be accompanied by JD Thompson and Josh Wirta, to name just a few talented coaches.
