Oakley Ad

From the first day I started with The Summit I wanted to bring back the watertower at East. So in October of last year we finally got it going. We painted in the cold, painted in the snow and cursed in the rain as the paint ran twice. Finally with the help of a flame-thrower and two days of no rain we finished. Travis showed up with the Oakley and Absinthe crews in February during a killer four days of bluebird skies. After showing off the Alpental BC and the parks at West and Central I told Travis about a bombdrop he might like. Travis, Zach Leach and myself hiked up to the tower right before dark and as soon as Travis saw it it was on. The next day Matt Eggleston pushed up the landing and we shaped the tranny. The view from the edge of the tower was gnarly, the sweet spot on the tranny was tight with no room for over or under shooting it. Travis dropped the 40' tower six times and stomped it every time. Four months later Matty Swanson from Oakley sends me the sneak peak of the ad and the story is complete. Mad props to TRice, Matty Swanson, Doc Zapalac and everybody involved in the shoot.
