Didn't know that ski areas could have secrets, did you? Ours is Summit East. A place beyond crowds where you can practice solitude, reflect on your life, think about philosophy or just go real fast. There's consistent fall line terrain, some really nice glade runs and the Nordic Center's 50 kilometers of skate and classic groomed trails if your brand of escape is a bit less rushed. Summit East is open on Saturday and Sunday, allowing all that snow to pile up during the week. When's it open again?
