FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SPRINGTIME SCHEDULE AT THE SUMMIT INCLUDES RE-OPENING SUMMIT EAST FOR ONE MORE WEEKEND

Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. April 2, 2008 - After larger-than-average March snowfall totals, spring has officially begun in the Cascades, bringing with it updated spring operating hours including re-opening Summit East one last time. Spring also means discounted lift tickets and added opportunities for Summit season passholders.

“The combination of awesome snowfall and stunning spring weather has led us to a natural conclusion that Summit East needs to re-open for one more weekend!” said Dan Brewster, general manager. “This winter season has truly been incredible and we feel that skiers and snowboarders are still excited to get out on the slopes before the season ends,” Brewster added.

Resort Operating Schedule

  • Alpental will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 9am-4pm through April 13th. After April 13th, Alpental will be open Saturdays and Sundays through May 4th. A special Monday Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 5th is also planned (conditions permitting) and will mark the final day of the 2007-2008 winter season.
  • Summit Central will be open daily through April 13th.
  • Summit East and The Summit Nordic Center are re-opening for April 5th & 6th only, from 9am-4pm.
  • The Summit Tubing Center will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3:30pm through April 13th.
  • Summit West is closed for the season.

Spring also means special lift ticket pricing, fewer restrictions, and a chance to plan ahead for next season
