FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE SUMMIT AT SNOQUALMIE CONTINUES ITS AWARD-WINNING SAFETY WEEK BY FOCUSING ON HELMET HEROES AND CHAIRLIFT SAFETY

Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. January 10, 2007– The Summit at Snoqualmie, in conjunction with the National Ski Areas Association, will be hosting safety week from January 13th through January 19th. This year’s focus will be on chairlift safety awareness and the promotion of helmet usage.

After winning its second award this decade from the National Ski Areas Association for last season’s chairlift safety campaign, The Summit will once again involve all departments of the resort in backing the helmet message while reiterating the importance of good chairlift safety practices.

"As we have a large amount of ski school activity here at The Summit, and many participants are kids, the chairlift safety message is critical and we have seen positive results from our efforts," said Guy Lawrence, marketing director. "It seems like a natural next step for us to focus on helmet usage as we know they significantly decrease head trauma in slower speed accidents."
