NEW PLAZA TOPS RESORT IMPROVEMENTS

Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. September 22, 2006 – On the heels of a six month winter operating season, The Summit at Snoqualmie began clearing snow in May for the construction of a new heated plaza at Alpental . The plaza will feature two outdoor gas firepits, and allows for easier guest access to the area in front of the Denny Mountain and Alpental Lodges. Recent plaza additions at the resort's other base areas have been very well received.

“The ten thousand square-foot heated plaza at Alpental  will be similar to those constructed in recent years at our other base areas,” said Dan Brewster, general manager for The Summit. “The plaza creates a great place to enjoy the atmosphere of spring skiing and snowboarding at Seattle's favorite resort.”

Other summer improvements include additional jib features and earthwork in Central Terrain Park , and much anticipated improvements to Alpental road. Photos of the plaza construction project can be viewed at The Summit's Website, www.summitatsnoqualmie.com.

The Summit at Snoqualmie is a proud partner with the USFS offering equal opportunity recreation.
