FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“It's cool to see that the rest of the country is noticing what we're doing up here. We've been working really hard at putting out the best parks for years,” said terrain park supervisor Kevin Turner.
The November 2006 issue of Freeskier considered factors such as snow, nightlife, cost and terrain when determining their rankings for the Resort Guide, while the Park Guide was judged on factors such as size, perfection of features, new enhancements and scene.
“We're definitely stoked to be known as the best park in the Northwest, but by no means are we content with just being in the mix. We're going to keep on pushing not only our region, but the entire industry,” commented Krush Kulesza, youth marketing manager.
The Summit continues to improve its terrain parks by utilizing the off-season to add additional jibs, including a 30-stair staircase feature and several junkyard jibs currently featured in the Mack Dawg snowboarding film “Follow Me Around.”
Alpental has also seen improvements such as a new 10,000 square-foot heated outdoor plaza, a remodeled lodge, and additional road and signage improvements. To learn more about The Summit and see overviews of the resort, log on to www.summitatsnoqualmie.com.
