A new Freeride event for young skiers, with a super unique venue: Wildside!
Postponed to Sunday March 23rd, 2014.
Wilder Side Wednesday Sunday is an all new event for charging young freeriders. It'll be a two run judged contest with each rider taking the best of their two runs as their ranked score. Awards will be given out for each class. The event will consist of two groups, Invitational skiers and competitors. Competitors will scope their lines and check out the course with the older and highly experienced Invitational level skiers, essentially acting as mentors for the competition. Invitational class skiers will get two runs as well, but will be judged by the competitors, with one Invitee taking home their class win.
The course will follow the old Thunderbird chairline and will include natural terrain features, plus some slightly manicured features for kids that want to catch a little air. Think big mountain meets slopestyle, emphasis on the mountain freeride.
Some of the best skiers in the PNW, invite only.
All riders must sign, or have their parent sign if under 18, to participate.
