Mid-November Ops Update

  • Mtn Operations

It’s mid-November and we are oh-so-close to being able to open… Although the snow has been accumulating, the temperatures and precipitation didn’t quite add up to our hopes and anticipation this week. We had hoped for an opening this weekend. While our mountain operations crew love what they see on the top half of the slopes at Summit West, the lower slopes and lift load areas just don't yet have the necessary coverage. That said, we know it won’t be too much longer and the upside is, we do have a great base for the next round of snowfall to build upon!

Meanwhile, we do have a super fun event, Up Jib Creek happening this Saturday from 11am – 1pm. Up Jib Creek is an annual freestyle event that is often pre-season and as the name suggests, is an event for jibbers, both skiers and snowboarders. Webb’s and the Big Air BBQ will also be feeding everyone’s appetite. So come watch, eat, play and have fun!

Summit West guest services will be open Saturday for season pass sales and season pass pickups. If you haven't received your pass in the mail yet and would like to pick it up instead, feel free to stop by guest services.
