One-on-One Instruction
A private lesson is the ultimate learning experience! We require a minimum of 48 hours to reserve Private Lessons, but if you’re the spontaneous type, drop by The Summit Learning Center the day of your arrival to inquire about the availability of a private instructor. Skiing, snowboarding, and telemark lessons available.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICIES
To cancel a private lesson reservation, please call our Summit Learning Center office at (425) 434-6748.
With 48 hour notice, reservations can be canceled and rescheduled at no cost. If you cancel a lesson and would like a refund to your credit card, you will be charged a $30 administrative fee with the remaining credit going to your credit card.
With less than 48 hour notice, you will be charged a $30 cancellation fee to reschedule or forfeit the cost of the lesson. No shows will forfeit the cost of the lesson and will not be given the opportunity for a refund.
TO BOOK
You must make a lesson reservation 48 hours prior to lesson day and time. We do not take reservations day of or day before lesson day. Our busy weekend and holiday periods book-up early, so be sure to plan ahead.
For reservations, please call (425) 434-6748. Our in-season office hours are Tuesday thru Sunday, 9am to 5pm. Closed Mondays. When calling, please have the student’s name(s), age, skiing or snowboarding level, requested date of lesson and name of desired instructor if known. Please leave a message with the most convenient contact information for you as the phone lines do get busy during peak season.
PRIVATE LESSON RESERVATION INFORMATION
- Please check in at least one hour prior to lesson time if you need rentals. Please check in by 8:30am for the 9am lesson, 8am if you need rentals. Be sure to allow time for traffic, parking and rentals, especially on weekends and during holiday periods.
- Reservation students arriving after the scheduled lesson start time will lose the reservation and will be charged for the full amount of the private lesson (or debited the Private Lesson 3 Pak equivalent). A student arriving after the scheduled lesson start time will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will make every attempt to get you or your student into a lesson, at no extra charge, if instructors are available.
- In the event of Interstate 90 closures or closures of The Summit at Snoqualmie, we will automatically cancel the lesson reservation and contact you to reschedule. If I-90 and The Summit at Snoqualmie are open, your lesson will go on. This is a mountain environment with varying weather and road conditions, and we are still open when chains are required for pass travel. Plan accordingly by checking our web site which has links for roads, weather and cameras.
SUMMIT CENTRAL
Open everyday for private lessons starting at 9am. Check in at the private lesson ticket window outside the rental shop, on the Central plaza. If you need rentals, pay for that at this ticket window as well, and then proceed directly to the boot fitting center inside of the rentals building. The private lesson meeting area is located just outside of the rentals building on the snow. Please arrive at the meeting area 10 minutes before the lesson time.
SUMMIT WEST
Open weekends only for private lessons, from 9am-4pm. If you need rentals, please check in at the welcome center in the rental shop, located on your right as you enter the building. If you do not need rentals, you can either check in at the previously described location or at the admin office of the Summit Learning Center building on the snow next to ski patrol. The private lesson meeting area is on the snow between the Summit Learning Center and Ski Patrol. Please arrive at the meeting area 10 minutes before lesson time.
ALPENTAL
Open Wednesday through Friday from 4pm-8pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. Please check in at the Summit Learning Center office an hour before the lesson time. To get to the office, walk across the bridge and up onto the plaza, look to the right and the yellow door facing the mountain is SLC. If interested in other midweek days, please call for availability.
